Less TTF and more TTS, and even more TTW. But whatever, it’s another ranbat weekend here at the TTF dojo with the introduction of King of Fighters XIII into the lineup. Will the KoF scene suffer the same fate as the other attempts to bring in another wheel? Who knows, but the answer is probably. In terms of games that people are actually playing, it’ll be Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition 2012 in it’s second battle of the fifth season in the SF ranbat series. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is on its 3rd in the 2nd season. Confusing? A little bit. But again, this season is barely even at the halfway mark so grab a warm jacket and freeze your ass over here at TTF and get some points.

The last ranbats will take place the Wednesday after Evo. ( 8/ 3). I know people tend to take a “ break” from fighting games after Evo., but T.T.F. will stay on schedule. We will be taking a break from the ranbat system and focus more on level up sessions with the stations. What will the schedule of the month look like? The first 3 or 4 weeks T.T.F. Wednesday nights will be level up sessions or if we don’t get enough people just regular casuals. The level up sessions mostly focus on AE due to that is the most popular game played inSan Diego. And yes I have been thinking of having level up sessions for Marvel but would not want to run it the same day as AE, but back to the schedule. So first 3 or 4 weeks will be strictly level up sessions/ casuals. The last Wednesday will be a tournament for Marvel and AE, to see if the sessions helped you become a better player.

Also when Tekken Tag 2 hits the street you know we’ll have it at T.T.F.

We’ve heard people say that TTF should be streamed and for a while we’ve stood by the belief that you need to be here to see it. But not anymore! The crew at TTF will be saving up for equipment to start up a modest little stream for future TTF events. But we also need your help! We here at T.T.F. bring you a fresh new look to ranbats. This will be season 1 for MvC3 and Mk and season 4 for Street Fighter. This new season of ranbats you will need to play with all your heart. The points will count for this one in the end and the 4 players with the most points in the end will get the money. The ranbats will only be $2.00 and will be single elimination until top 8, where the brackets will be reseted and become double elimination. The $2.00 goes to the ranbat pot and in the top 4 will split it (1st- 50%, 2nd- 25%, 3rd- 15%, and 4th 10%). Don’t worry because if you dont make it to top 8 there will be still plenty of casuals and hype. And I will still be throwing Friday tournys, these ones will be double elimination the whole time and the entry fee is a little more for a bigger pot after the May 20th, this coming Friday, the entry fee will be raised to $10.00 that will be going to the pot and an extra $1.00 to the house.
